should we pursue this?

YES! SOME OF US ARE TAKING HOUR TRANSCRIBING LECTURES, ESPECIALLY FOR ANATOMY. THE MOST EFFICIENT WAY WOULD BE TO SEND OUT ALL THE MP3 LECTURES TO A PROFESSIONAL TRANSCRIPTION COMPANY.

more than just a transcription for anatomy, how about pictures marking the things that the prof points out in lecture? its hard to catch everything that he/she points to, plus you can't just listen to it on the mp3 since they'll just say "what is THIS?" and obviously there's no video...

How about a VIDEO recording of the lectures?

YES!!! Video's would be good, too!

I don't think they will allow video. No one would show up to lecture!

Video should absolutely be available. The SUNY schools have it - even for their undergrad!
People not showing up to class is a totally separate issue - If the video recordings are going to be useful to the students to review the material then there's no reason why we shouldn't have it- especially in a field that's so visually driven.

Anyway, getting lectures on video is already in the works for next year. Ask Dr. Eisenberg.
